SATO-40 Open Head Orbital Weld Head
The SATO-40 open head orbital weld head is designed for precision TIG orbital welding on small diameter tubing from 0.4 to 1.5 inches. Its compact, lightweight design makes it ideal for tight workspaces in industries such as pharmaceutical, semiconductor, and high-purity process piping. Powered by the SAXX power source, the SATO-40 delivers consistent, high-quality welds on stainless steel and exotic alloys with or without filler wire.
With advanced features such as mechanical O/D tracking and dual-axis torch adjustment, the SATO-40 ensures stable arc control and repeatable weld quality. Available in both air cooled and liquid cooled configurations, it supports up to 200 A at 100 percent duty cycle for demanding applications. Its precise electrode alignment and mark-free roller tracking help maintain clean surfaces and optimal weld integrity.
