SATO-170 Open Head Orbital Weld Head
The SATO-170 open head orbital welder is designed for large diameter pipe welding from 1 to 6.625 inches. It provides high-performance orbital TIG welding for industries such as power plants, refineries, and large-scale process piping systems. Its open head configuration allows for greater flexibility when welding thicker materials and larger components.
With advanced features including constant arc voltage control and mechanical tracking, the SATO-170 ensures consistent weld quality across large diameters. The liquid cooled model supports 200 A for high productivity, while its ergonomic design improves handling despite its increased size. It is optimized for both fusion and wire-fed applications.
